Dushyantha Perera holds the position of Partner and leads the Corporate & Commercial Law practice at Sudath Perera Associates.

His tenure at the firm was preceded by a distinguished role as an associate at the Stephenson Harwood (Singapore) Alliance from 2013 until the beginning of 2017. This alliance, a formal legal collaboration between Stephenson Harwood and Virtus Law in Singapore, saw him focusing on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and employment law. Before his Singapore stint, Dushyantha honed his legal expertise as an associate at a leading law firm in Sri Lanka.

His professional background is marked by significant experience in guiding a diverse client base, which includes high-net-worth individuals, emerging startups, multinational corporations, private equity funds, and international financial institutions. Dushyantha’s advisory scope encompasses a broad array of corporate, transactional, and financial issues, with a particular emphasis on foreign direct investment and public-private partnerships in Sri Lanka.

Dushyantha’s academic credentials include an LL.B. from the University of Nottingham and a Master’s degree in International Trade Law from the University of Wales.
